Camborne RFC are thrilled to announce that homegrown powerhouse and club legend, Tommy-Lee Southworth has re-signed for the upcoming season, heading into his 11th senior campaign at The Rec.

Tommy-Lee is the ultimate “one-club man.” Having progressed all the way through the Town’s M&J section into the senior ranks, he achieved a massive career milestone in December 2025 by making his 200th senior appearance for Cherry & Whites.

Described by Head Coach Tom Kessell as the “heart and soul of the club,” the formidable loosehead prop is highly regarded for his aggressive scrummaging style, his knack for putting opposing tightheads on the back foot, and a relentless work rate at the breakdown.

Beyond his club exploits, Southworth is a proud, regular representative for Cornwall, earning multiple caps for the Duchy in the Bill Beaumont Cup. As the club continues its charge up the rugby pyramid, having our local anchor in the front row is a massive boost.

“I’m pleased to share that I have re-signed with Camborne RFC going into my 11th senior season. What a journey it’s been from South West 1 to now National 1. Seeing the growth of my hometown club is something I’m very proud of and I can’t wait for the challenge ahead, especially after a long period out with injury.

I’m very grateful for the support from the players, coaches, and everybody within Camborne RFC who have made my decision so easy to make.”
