With all three adult teams securing promotion and the launch of our brand-new Development Pathway Squad, the upcoming season promises to be one of the biggest in Camborne RFC history. More rugby means more fans, bigger matchdays, and a greater need for the people who truly power this club: our volunteers. Joining the matchday team puts you right at the heart of the action, helping us deliver a brilliant atmosphere for every home supporter and traveling visitor. We have several rewarding roles available across the ground, each coming with full support, proper gear and the deep appreciation of the entire Cherry and White family.
Gate Greeter
As the first friendly face supporters see, you will check tickets, point visitors toward the stand, bar, facilities and ensure no one feels lost. Shift runs 90 minutes before kick-off to 30 minutes after. Right for you if you smile easily and do not mind standing in the cold. We provide a Camborne matchday vest, a hot drink, a pasty and somewhere to watch the match.
Matchday Steward
You will provide a visible, reassuring presence across the ground, offering helpful information and safety guidance to keep all club users and visitors safe throughout the day.
Program and Raffle Ticket Seller
Working the gate booths and across the park pre-match, you will sell physical programmes and raffle tickets, processing cash or card payments. Right for you if you are confident handling money and doing quick maths. We provide a float, card reader, club vest, and your programme cost covered.
Bar Runner
You will keep our five bar stations fully operational across the matchday by restocking inventory, sorting ice and glassware, and keeping pre-pours flowing. Right for you if you move quickly, can handle lifting, and thrive in a busy shift. We provide a club vest, hot food at half-time, and a Volunteer of the Week nomination.
Can Station Host
Running our card-only, can-only fast lane bar, you will focus on high-volume service to keep queues moving smoothly across the full matchday. Right for you if you like a good rhythm and fast-paced work. We provide a uniform, card reader, and restocking support.
Mobile Drink Seller
You will work the queues and terraces during peak periods, 15 minutes before kick-off, half-time, and the second half, taking pressure off the main bars. Right for you if you are comfortable on your feet and love striking up a chat. We provide a club polo shirt, backpack equipment, card reader, and full training.
Fan Zone Host
Starting two hours before kick-off and through half-time, you will welcome families and help run kids’ activities, face painting, and mini-rugby events. Right for you if you are great with kids and enjoy a bit of fun chaos. We provide a club t-shirt, safeguarding briefing and cover your DBS check.
