Good Afternoon, Everyone.
Firstly, a massive welcome to the players, officials, and supporters from the Cornish Pirates for this pre-season clash. This inaugural fixture is in memory of David Roberts a true supporter of the Club, Cornwall and this beloved sport.
A warm welcome to the David Roberts family today and thank you for supporting the David Roberts Cup. I would also like to thank our Sponsor R G Kellow Ltd for their unwavering partnership of this fixture.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated volunteers and hard-working staff for their tireless efforts behind the scenes. Your commitment is the ongoing heartbeat of the club. This is my first season as Vice‑Chair, though I’ve been part of this club since childhood. Few moments in our history have carried this level of opportunity, as we step into Nat 1. I look forward to working alongside everyone as we push forward with ambition
On the pitch, a warm welcome to our new signings for this season and welcome back our faithful. Today’s game will be a tough test, and I know the squad is ready to give everything.
Thank you all for your brilliant support and I hope you enjoy today’s game.
