Camborne RFC is launching a new reusable pint glass at Saturday’s top of the table clash with Luctonians.

The glasses will be used at all the Club’s matchday bars with the following aims:

  • Reduce the environmental impact of single use plastic as part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to the sustainability agenda and to enhance the Club’s green credentials.

  • Respond to customer satisfaction comments and feedback on serving drinks in flimsy single use plastic.

  • Give the Club an opportunity to support a local charitable organisation by donating 10% of every sale to the Camborne Community Larder.
  • Provide an additional income generating opportunity to raise funds to support the Club’s ongoing development.

  • Allow sponsors the opportunity to promote their business by supporting the Club’s initial capital purchase showcasing their logo on each glass.

 How it Works:

On each matchday the customer pays a non refundable £1 charge for their 1st pint purchased.

Thereafter for any subsequent on the day purchase the customer can either reuse the glass or receive a replacement.

‘We are indebted to Richard Jewell from our Community & Sponsorship Team and David Jolly from LWC Cornwall (pictured) for their assistance in getting this initiative off the ground’ commented Martin Symons, Chairman.

Camborne RFC is extremely grateful to sponsors CLX Professionals, LWC Cornwall, Thatchers Cider, and Sharp’s Brewery for their generous support of this venture making this important change possible.
