Ben Smith joined us for his adult rugby at the start of the 23-24 season after finishing his colts rugby at Redruth. Since he came to Camborne, the hooker, has made a number of first team appearances alongside captaining the second team aswell as breaking through in to the Royal Navy’s U23 squad.

Will Tanswell signs for his fourth season in the Cherry and White. A solid scrum-half who fits well across both squads regularly. Will comes back after suffering a season-ending injury in the third quarter of last season.

Andruis Zacharovas will be back once again with Callum Looker. Both absolute stalwarts of the pack and senior leaders.

Kaea Griffiths also having joined in 23-24 will be making a return. A fierce flanker who has been in the radar of Canada Rugby.

Charlie Butler will sign for his second season of senior rugby having successfully transitioning from the colts last season.

Jack Heazelton will be leaving the commentator’s role to pick his boots back up following his horrific leg injury early in the campaign. Jack had offered some great insights during our YouTube live streams but he is now ready to go back to where he really belongs, pulling up trees in the second row.

Jack said “I’m delighted to be re-signing with Camborne Rugby Club for my fifth season.

I’m really looking forward to the challenges that comes with competing at a higher level and continuing push the club to new heights both on and off the field.

What makes this club special, though, is that it’s so much more than just a team. Over the last four seasons, Camborne has become a second family to me, and I’m grateful for the support, friendships, and memories that have come with being part of this club.

I can’t wait to get stuck into another season and see what we can achieve together. Up the Cherry & Whites!”
