“That is it, Camborne win the league!”

The seven words I managed to type on Facebook during the match this Saturday. I couldn’t really do much else at the time, paralysed by the moment.

That historic moment came as Adam “Julie” Hughes crossed the line from a Josh Matavesi pop-pass after drawing the defence. A true training ground move executed brilliantly. You can see it here.

I can’t say the match went entirely our way, and there were moments when I thought we’d be chucking all our eggs in the Chester basket. But despite shipping 4 tries early on, Town held fast and not only picked up the try bonus point, but a losing bonus point, which means come-what-may, Town will top the table with a minimum of a 2 point lead.

Speaking of Chester, our last home game next week. As ever, tickets available using the link above. This week we will be leaving the Box Office open until KO giving everyone the chance to get their ticket at the reduced rate of £13.00. Let’s fill The Rec and get the party started right!

A full match report will follow tomorrow.
