Camborne’s 2nd team got their Counties 2 campaign off to a flying start with a comprehensive victory over St. Austell’s Sinners.
The hosts scoring 11 converted tries to win 77 – 23.
Charlie Butler, in his first senior league game, opened Town’s account with a brace before Max Jenkin added to the score. Oli Williams, in the Cherry and White debut, added to the tally as well as, club legend, Cameron Bone chalking one up, all before George Edson made a hat-trick look easy. Butler then finished his hat-trick. Not to be out-scored, Edson made his take for the day 4 with Jenkin adding the final try of the day.
Will Hennessy kicked all 11 conversions of the day, an impressive feat in itself.
Next Saturday sees the boys head up the A30 to face Bodmin. Details to follow.
