Big Cherry & White Weekend.
The weekend starts with our colts. Playing host to St. Austell. After a disappointing result away to the Camels up in Egloshayle, the Colts will be geared up to keep in the top four with only this and next week’s match against Perranporth left in the league stage of this season’s competition.
Kick off is at 10.30 on the CSM Pitch.
Chronologically, the First XV are next, but we’ll come back to them…
The Seconds go in to their match with The Brewers in the top spot. Having lost inly.one match so far, they’ll be hoping to maintain their fairly safe looking cushion at the summit.
This match should have been played away, but as Perranporth couldn’t raise a team. Part of the sanction, as well as a -5 point adjustment, is to reverse the fixture.
A milestone match too for Matt Penrose, who will be making his 100th appearance. Along side Matt will be young Jake Jenkins-Praill who will be making his first senior appearance having played in the Cherry and White since the age of 6.
The First XV entertain Leicestershire’s Hinckley. The Hornets (not those Hornets) find themselves in fifth place in the league after winning four out of the last five. This will be the first match for Hinckley since before Christmas.
Ben Woodmansey, George Edson and Finn Love make returns to the matchday squad this week, showing the depth in the ranks.
Kick off is 2pm on The Rec.
Finally, on Sunday, our ladies make a delayed trip to Plymouth Argaum following last week’s postponement.
Sitting top and unbeaten, the ladies will be hoping for a good win to keep the points total rising, knowing that any slip at Kingsbridge in a few weeks could leave them relying on points difference.
