Camborne take a historic step tomorrow in their first match in National League 1 at The Sycamores in Leeds.
The Cherry and Whites have met the Tykes before in a previous incarnation, but that was back in the late 80s when the cornishmen ended a long winning run for the northerners.
Building on last season’s successes, the selection will look familiar to long standing @top fans with the classic front row of Tommy-Lee Southworth, Ben Priddey and Jon Drew. Jago Sheppard and Jamie Prisk providing the engine with the terrifying prospect of Sam Matavesi, Jordy Nicholls and Herbie Stupple as back row.
CJ Boyce retains the scrum-half spot with new signing Fraser Honey at 10. The centre pairing of not one, but two Matavesi Brothers with Josh and Joel linking up. Alex Ducker on his favoured wing and impressive youngster Oli Roberts on the right. The full back duties fall to Rory O’Kane, who was deadly off the boot in the last campaign.
On the bench we have returning Declan Prowse, freshly signed from Pirates, Ben Woodmansey. Further news signings Harrison Hayman and Jay Toogood (formerly pestering Town in a Taunton jersey) ready along side the rock-solid Will Hennessy.
If you can’t travel across the Tamar, don’t worry, the match will be streamed to the clubhouse thanks to Leedstykes for agreeing to live stream the action.
